Stonefire Grill in Westlake/Thousand Oaks is awesome. Kudos to the manager. The place is absolutely spotless. Every employee is friendly, respectful, considerate and informed about the products. The food is without question the best I have ever eaten. Wonderful choices. Try the salmon with lemon and garlic. Fabulous!
I love StoneFire but want to know why there are dine-in only menu items? I do take-out a lot but can’t always get what I want because it’s a “dine-in only” menu item. So what makes certain items dine-in only anyway? If I dine-in, aren’t my leftovers take-out items????
Hi Susie, thank you so much for your comments. Our entire menu is available for takeout save for the occasional special. You may be referring to the shrimp in this case. We have found (with this item), that the packaging and take away of this item changes the quality, and thus have made it available in the restaurant only for the time being. Please feel free to email us at feedback@stonefiregrill.com if you would like to continue the conversation.
I LOVE stonefire! Thanks for the great food and service, PLEASE open one in Texas!!! I used to live in Cali and I miss it so much!
Thanks for the great compliments, Grace! We’re thrilled that our food made a lasting impression on you
Hope life is going great for you and yours in Texas. There are no plans to expand out that was as of now, but you never know what the future holds, we’ll definitely keep you posted.
WHEN IN THE H–L ARE YOU GOING TO OPEN ONE IN CAMARILLO? WE’RE DESPERATE!!!!!
Great question, Elyse! We have our eyes open, but haven’t found anything just yet. Do you have any suggestions for a location in that area?
Hello Stonefire,
Love your restaurant! My daughters and I eat at your place a lot when mom doesn’t feel like cooking.
One consistent issue I do have is that your children’s meals ALWAYS take a long time to arrive and they come out after my salad. The challenge is when you have hungry kids, the longer it takes, the crankier they get. I would imagine your pizza dough and pasta are already cooked and you just prep and heat, right? Or, perhaps the children’s meals aren’t made in the main kitchen? Moral of the story, I would love to see you find a way to speed up the preparation of the children’s meals. In fact, I’d rather you hold my salad until my kids’ meals are ready. Most restaurants recognize this issue with kids and seem to find a way to get the kids meals out sooner. I don’t care if I have to wait for my food (which always comes out instantly!), it’s my kids I’m concerned about. The last thing I want to deal with after a full day of work is whining children.
Kudos to the staff at your Chatsworth location — they are wonderful and represent the company well. Thanks for reading — I look forward to your response.
Thanks for the constructive feedback, Lauren! All of our kid’s meals are made to order, and they do typically take longer than salads. We certainly understand your concern. Please feel free to ask a team member to rush the kids’ orders when you’re in next, and we’ll do our best to make it happen. Our goal is to make everyone happy…kids and parents alike
See you again soon!
Your tri-tip is SO tender, I was wondering if it is a special quality of meat, or prepared or marinated in a special way or cooked in a secret way
It is SO wonderful and we were just wondering.
Thanks for the compliments, Gail! We’re able to achieve that tenderness with our special two-step cooking process. We start by slow cooking our meats overnight and then finish our meat on either the grill or in our high heat broilers. Are we making you hungry yet?
I recently ordered a Favorite Crowd Pleaser package and were allowed to upgrade the salad to the South of the Border Salad but were not allowed to upgrade the chicken to the salmon. I don’t understand why this is??? I was willing to pay additional for the upgrade to the salmon just like I agreed to pay additional for the South of the Border salad.
Hi Cristina – Thank you for taking the time to send in your feedback, this was very beneficial to read and will be passed along to our upper management for their review. To answer your question, we create our packages at price point that provides a great value to our guests and in these situations we recommend adding on items a la carte. I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused and hope this will not deter you from visiting us again.
My wife heard that you are cafeteria style. i.e. we push a tray around to get our food. Or do you have table service with wait-staff?
Far from it, sir. Come on in and see what we have to offer! We look forward to serving you soon, Eldred.
would love nutrition info on the salads to determine if the can be eaten by the heart attack survivor in my group.
Thanks for your interest, Diana! Our nutritional/allergen information is available upon request at each of locations, a manager will be happy to answer any questions to might have.
Our company loves SFG! We order everyday. It would be awesome to see a customer rewards program set up!
Thanks for the great feedback! We look forward to serving you again soon.
P.S. Anyone who has bad things to say about SFG. Didn’t bother to go to a Manager, at the time. Which usually means they had an agenda. I have frequented all of their locations and found, a consistency in them all. Good food, nice people. I am a continuing satisfied customer.
I would like to say, the business model is simple. Give people good quality food, in a casual environment. Quality food, at a reasonable price, with friendly helpful employees.
