What is STONEFIRE Grill?

STONEFIRE Grill is a fast-casual dining experience started in June 2000 by sisters, Mary and Maureen Harrigan, in Valencia, CA.  We offer an innovative and expansive menu using only the finest and freshest ingredients.  From our mesquite-grilled tri tip, chicken and ribs to our 14 unique salads, a variety of delicious pizzas, hearty sandwiches, delectable breadsticks and our desserts prepared daily from family recipes, STONEFIRE offers delicious meals for every taste and budget!  Our goal is simple – to serve great tasting food at reasonable prices by exceptionally friendly people!  Whether it’s for dine in or takeout, we’ve designed our entire menu to be enjoyed individually or shared with friends and family.

What is ‘fast-casual’?

At STONEFIRE Grill, our fast-casual approach to dining allows you to walk in to the restaurant, place your order with one of our friendly staff members, pick up utensils and drinks and have a seat.  We’ll do the rest for you!  While we don’t utilize traditional serving methods, we do have a helpful and attentive staff who are active throughout the dining room and will be more than happy to assist in meeting any of your needs.

What is ‘family-style dining’?

‘Family-style dining’ is an experience designed to accommodate multiple people with different tastes and appetites.  Since we believe that sharing meals is a wonderful way to bring people together, our unique approach to dining keeps this idea in mind by providing a variety of entreés and combinations of salads and side dishes to each table.  Although STONEFIRE Grill encourages sharing amongst friends and family, our menu is just as versatile and sensible to provide a memorable meal for the individual, too!

Where are your locations?

We are a Southern California-based restaurant group and currently have locations in Valencia, West Hills, Fountain Valley, Irvine, Chatsworth, Pasadena and Thousand Oaks.  STONEFIRE Grill’s Home Office and Catering Operations are based in Westlake Village.

Tell me about your Takeout.

We are Southern California’s leader in takeout services, and our entire menu is available for takeout!  Simply call your local STONEFIRE Grill to place an order and your meal will be waiting for you when you arrive!  Each STONEFIRE is effectively designed with separate entrances for both dine in and takeout customers.  Please let us know in advance if your order is intended for a later pickup time, or if you intend to place a catering order.

Do you offer Catering?

Yes.  Our Catering Packages start at just $7.99 per person.  Our Catering Menu can be viewed and downloaded here, or to speak to a member of the STONEFIRE Catering Team, please call 888.649.5783.  At STONEFIRE, we offer three levels of service:
PICKUP Ready when you are, your meal can be picked up from any of our STONEFIRE locations.  A minimum number of 10 guests is required.  Quality, plates, cutlery and serving utensils included.
DELIVERY Your order will be delivered at the time you specify to the location of your choice.  Quality plates, cutlery and serving utensils included.  Minimum number of guests is 20.  To ensure driver availability, please arrange for STONEFIRE delivery service at least 24 hours in advance.
FULL SERVICE CATERING Members of the STONEFIRE Catering Team will arrive ahead of your scheduled serving time to set up, serve and clean.  A delicious meal with a full service buffet, including chafing dishes, serving utensils, quality plates and cutlery will be provided.  Minimum number of guests is 30.  Servers are based on availability, so please plan in advance.

What are your hours of operation?

Sunday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

What days are you closed?

We are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.

Do you take reservations?

We do not take reservations.  Following STONEFIRE’s fast-casual dining approach, our dining rooms and patios are first come, first served.

Can I plan to bring a large group to STONEFIRE Grill?

You’re more than welcome to bring your large group to STONEFIRE and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.  If your party is exceptionally large, you may want to consider having STONEFIRE come to you with our wonderful, full service catering!

Do you have special holiday hours?

We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. Our operating hours may vary on other holidays to allow our employees to spend time with those closest to them.  For exact holiday hours, please call your favorite STONEFIRE Grill location.

Is STONEFIRE Grill a franchise?

STONEFIRE Grill is a privately owned company founded in 2000 by sisters, Mary and Maureen Harrigan.  We do not franchise.

Can I invest in STONEFIRE Grill?

Currently, STONEFIRE Grill is not seeking investors.

Are you planning any new locations?

MENU FAQ

Do you have nutritional information for your menu items?

Our nutritional and allergen information is available upon request at all 7 STONEFIRE Grill locations. If you have specific nutritional concerns, please speak to any of our managers.

Can STONEFIRE make adjustments according to my dietary needs?

If you are looking to easily reduce fat and calories, STONEFIRE offers several options.  Balsamic or red wine vinegar and olive oil may be requested to replace any of our home made dressings.  All of our salads may be modified to eliminate items that do not fit within your dietary needs.  Similarly, all of our meats may be ordered without our barbecue sauce, or “dry”.  Because each meal is prepared to order, all of our menu items may be modified, within reason, to meet your dietary needs.  If you have stringent dietary guidelines, please consult your doctor or nutritionist before consuming anything from the STONEFIRE Grill menu.

What makes your meats and chicken so tender and delicious?

It’s our two-step cooking process!  First, we slowly cook these items overnight in ovens designed specifically for this purpose.  The result is delicious, tender and juicy meats and chicken!  Then, we finish each item in one of the following two ways:

  • Mesquite-grilled: Our large grills are powered by mesquite wood.  We grill our meats and chicken over the hot, smoky flames and brush them with our signature BBQ sauce.  The mesquite wood produces a slightly smoky flavor, and the sauce makes it sweet, tangy and delicious!
  • Charbroiled: If it’s not prepared on our mesquite grills, it’s quickly placed in our broilers.  The end result is meat that is nicely charred on the outside, but tender and juicy on the inside!

Do you make your own salad dressings?

All of our salad dressings are STONEFIRE original recipes and are freshly prepared at each of our locations every morning!

Does your Caesar dressing have raw egg?

Our Caesar dressing does not contain raw egg, but it does contain anchovies.

Can I get a pizza without cheese?

All of our pizzas may be ordered without cheese.

Do you have vegetarian menu items?

YES!  Generally, our delicious breadsticks, Garden, Greek and Grilled Vegetable salads, Vegetable Platter, Marinara, Pesto and Tomesto pastas, Kid’s Pasta with butter and cheese, and all of our freshly prepared desserts are considered vegetarian.  All of our salads, pizzas and sandwiches may be ordered without meat (or cheese, if necessary) upon request.  If your concern is a strict dietary one, please ask a team member about particular ingredients or consult your doctor or nutritionist before consuming STONEFIRE meals.  For strictly vegan items, please speak with a manager before ordering.

Do you have a gluten-free menu?

We do offer gluten-free guidelines for ordering.  These menu items are those to which we do not add gluten.  At no time are these guidelines a substitute for doctor’s orders, or your knowledge or best judgment.  Our signature BBQ sauce DOES NOT contain gluten.  If you have particular health concerns regarding the effects of items within close proximity to an allergen, please contact your health care professional before consuming STONEFIRE meals.  Here’s a list of some items that we advise may not contain gluten:

Does anything on your menu contain monosodium glutamate (MSG)?

There are two STONEFIRE menu items that contain monosodium glutamate (MSG): our Buttermilk and Poblano Ranch dressings.  If you have particular health concerns relating to the consumption of MSG, please contact your healthcare professional prior to consuming STONEFIRE meals.  To avoid this product, we offer nine other signature salad dressing options to choose from.

Do you use peanuts or peanut oil?

We do use peanuts and peanut oil in the preparation of some of our menu items – prominently in our Nutty Coleslaw.  This item features peanuts within the side itself, and the dressing base uses peanut oil.  We also use peanut oil in our Cilantro Vinaigrette salad dressing.  If you are highly allergic to peanuts or peanut oil, we ask that you order menu items which may not come into contact with either of these ingredients, even by mistake, as we cannot guarantee complete isolation in preparation of any of our menu items.  If you have particular health concerns regarding the effects of items within close proximity to an allergen, please contact your healthcare professional prior to consuming STONEFIRE meals.

Do you have a Kid’s menu?

We do have a Kid’s menu.  For STONEFIRE guests under the age of 12, these meals include a smaller-sized drink.  Our Kid’s menu is available during all business hours and is also available for takeout.  We offer seven kid’s-sized portion meals: Cheese or one topping Pizza, Pasta with Butter and Cheese, Marinara Pasta, Chicken Strips, Macaroni and Cheese, Cheese Quesadilla and Baby Back Ribs.

Can I have the recipes for my favorite menu items?

While we’re flattered that you thoroughly enjoy STONEFIRE’s menu items, these recipes are proprietary, and we do not share them.  We look forward to seeing you at our restaurants to enjoy your favorites!

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes, we serve wine and beer.  We offer several different types of domestic and premium bottled beer and have a great wine list featuring a variety of unique, quality wines at outstanding prices.  All of our wines are available by the glass.  If you would like to bring your own wine, you’re more than welcome to do so.  Our corkage fee is $2!

What is the minimum order for a STONEFIRE Catering?

If you would like to pickup your catered meal, the minimum order is 10 guests.  For delivery only, the minimum order is 20 guests.  For a full service catering with a server, the minimum order is 30.

How do I place my order?

Placing your STONEFIRE Catering order could not be easier!  Please call one of our Catering Specialists at 888.649.5783 and we will help you with every detail.

Do you need advanced notice for STONEFIRE Catering services?

Yes.  For delivery, we must have a minimum notice of 24 hours.  For full service catering, we recommend that you reserve STONEFIRE service as soon as you know the date of your event.  The other details can wait!  Still, we request that you place your order with at least one week in advance.  During holiday periods, we suggest as much advanced notice as possible.  For both STONEFIRE deliveries and full service caterings, orders are first come, first served.

What is included in my catered event?

STONEFIRE‘s full service catering includes one or more of our Catering Team members and all that is needed to set up a buffet for you (chafing dishes, serving utensils, quality plates and cutlery).  Linens are also provided for the buffet.

What do you ask of me?

We ask that you provide two 6 to 8-foot tables or a similar space where we are able to set up the buffet.

Can I change the details of my STONEFIRE Catering order?

Yes.  You can make menu changes and adjust the number of guests until 72 hours before the scheduled event.

How can I pay for my STONEFIRE Catering event?

We accept cash and all major credit cards.  We do not ask for a deposit, but we do ask that you sign our Catering contract to confirm your order.  On the morning of your event, we will charge your credit card in full, or you may pay with cash upon arrival.  Our STONEFIRE Catering Team will confirm all the details with you 72 hours prior to your event.

What is the cost of a STONEFIRE server for my event?

We recommend one STONEFIRE server per 60-75 guests.  The server cost varies according to your location and required needs.  Typically, a server is available to you for three hours with a 45 to 60-minute set up time, 90-minute serve time and 30-minute clean up time.  Each event is unique and our servers can remain longer depending on your needs.  Please call our Catering Team at 888.649.5783 to discuss your event and how STONEFIRE can best help.

Does STONEFIRE Grill cater weddings?

Yes!  We were hailed by the Style Network for catering a stylish and delicious wedding on a budget!  Our Catering Team has a wedding specialist that focuses specifically on the uniqueness of a wedding and the details to be addressed.  From the number of servers and arrival time to helping cut the cake and more, a wedding requires special planning and we are here to help!  Please call our Catering Team at 888.649.5783.

Can I customize my STONEFIRE Menu?

Of course!  Our Catering Menu represents the most popular choices of our guests over the years, but we are happy to accommodate special menu requests and mixing and matching of our sides and salads.

How do I order for children?

Typically, we suggest that each child under the age of 10 be counted “2 for 1″ – two children for one adult.  We are also happy to provide a separate menu for children if you’d like.  Please ask us for details if this interests you!

How do I order for vegetarians?

We have several menu items to suggest for your vegetarian guests.  Please ask us for further details and our best suggestions when placing your STONEFIRE Catering order.

Does STONEFIRE Grill offer beverages?

Yes.  We can provide both Pepsi™ products and bottled water for your event at a reasonable price per person.  Please ask us for details if this interests you!

How do I tip?

STONEFIRE caterers and delivery drivers appreciate any gratuity you provide them.  As a rule, we do not mandate the amount of gratuity given, but we suggest 15% of your bill before tax and labor.
