LITTLE LEAGUE TO NAME BASEBALL FIELD FOR STONEFIRE GRILL AT MARCH 5 EVENT

1,000 Guests Expected at Unveiling of New Field; Pancake Breakfast Also To Be Held

When STONEFIRE Grill “went to bat” for the Fountain Valley Little League with a sponsorship package this year, little did the restaurateurs know how appreciative the youngsters were.  They will find out when nearly 1,000 Little League supporters turn out for the dedication of the new STONEFIRE Grill Baseball Field for the 2011 season on Saturday, March 5 at Mile Square Park (16400 Brookhurst Street – enter off of Heil Avenue) in Fountain Valley.  Festivities include a pancake breakfast, team line-up by newscaster Ed Arnold, dedication ceremony and official first pitch of the season by Marcus Owens (general manager of STONEFIRE Grill in Fountain Valley).  Immediately following the ceremonies STONEFIRE will be providing sliders for lunch to the crowd.  Tickets are $4 in advance & $5 at door; call Kristin Rousselo at (714) 719-6929 for more information.

STONEFIRE Grill is our biggest sponsor to date and have been so generous with monetary and in-kind donations so we wanted to show our appreciation with the dedication of the field in their name,” said Rousselo, a Little League coordinator. “Since Little League receives no financial assistance from the city, we rely on the generosity of private sponsors like STONEFIRE Grill.”

Schedule:

8-10 a.m. — Pancake breakfast

11 a.m.  – Kids line up, team names announced by former sports announcer Ed Arnold, national anthem is sung

11:15 a.m. – Official naming of the “STONEFIRE Grill Field” for the 2011-2012

season after which Owens will throw out the first pitch of the season.
